Clarity Through Strategy

Back in 2019, we launched a new brand refresh for our friend, Maribel Quezada Smith, a multimedia producer, writer and speaker in Phoenix, Arizona.

The original ask was actually simple, “Can you rebrand my podcast, Diferente?” So, we did. And she was officially in for the ride of her life.

Every project we accept to take on begins with the same disclaimer, “Our methodology will challenge your thoughts and more likely will end up taking us in a direction neither of us was expecting. Please trust the methodology.”

This time was no different.

At the end of the strategy exercise, before any direction was established, we were no longer branding her podcast — we were reimagining her entire personal brand and pivoting towards making her into the face of her entire empire.

This outcome has been quite familiar in our history building brands. What wasn’t as usual this time was the teaching she gave us in return.

“Your value is bringing business owners clarity,” Maribel said.

Hearing this from Maribel was impactful because we’ve always been focused on purpose. But, the reality is that although purpose is the fuel behind anything you do, clarity is what ultimately paves the way and moves you (our clients) forward. (Both in business and in life.)

The truth is this project means so much to us because we had so many hard conversations. It truly was uncomfortable at times: Having to walk us both down from a ledge, manage anxiety attacks, and even quadruple guess our own findings.

Ultimately, the immediate success came with the feedback from event goers at her speaking engagement at the 2019 Podcast Movement conference in Orlando, FL this past August.

Hearing her excitement and crowd’s feedback told us we were going towards the right direction. We found her true purpose.

However, the most memorable and joyous note we got from Maribel was her confident and proud text message stating, “After weeks of reflection, I found my voice! Let’s do this.”

That’s creating with purpose, challenging the norm, and making a statement. And, it is all born by transforming our client’s expectations through moments of clarity, insight, strategy and creativity.

The creative system is live now, and we’re beyond excited for what’s to come for her and her businesses. In the meantime, please check out her new website, maribelqs.com.

And, if you need a creative producer to develop good content with meaning, make sure to drop her a line. (Tell her Social Mosaic sent you. No kickbacks, just legitimate appreciation for her craft.)

Be good and keep growing.
